Beautiful Jersey

If there were enough words to express our gratitude for our wonderful hosts on Jersey as well as describe the beauty we experienced everyday, this blog post would never end!

The first part of our stay at La Ferme was incredible and the second half was absolutely magnificent!

As there just aren't words to describe how beautiful Jersey is or how amazing our experience was, I will try to do justice in photos! Enjoy the last part of our time on Jersey by checking out these pictures!

St. Catherine's Bay

Waiting on the slipway edge for our ride!

Our captain of the sea!

He really is pulling in lobster pots!

Lobster and crab!

Julie was a great helper! She assisted keeping the boat straight and helped measure the lobsters and crab to be sure they were up to size.

Although I'd love to say I was all hands-in and did some best lobster catching work...you'll notice my arm is outstretched and attached to the hand rail. I guess my stomach wasn't quite ready for the sea!

Just enjoying the ride!

Gorey cove and the strong castle of Mont Orgueil.

Fish for bait! We made it to land!

Nothing better than a huge cone of soft ice cream to end a super experience out on the sea!

Morning tea out in this beautiful garden? I think so!!

Fresh pears off the garden tree for snack! Yum!

Steam and Motor Museum show! What fantastic machines we saw!

Julie and our host by a genuine Cadillac with Jersey wonders (traditional treat) and cabbage loaf.

Julie enjoying the view from our little box on a true coal-fired steam engine train!

The steam engine train!

Watch out!!
I've got my hands on a true US Army Bazooka! We met some US Army equipment/apparel enthusiasts.

A great afternoon for cricket!

Julie and I learned how the game is played and how the strings on the ball helps send the ball in various directions.

Our yesterday's catch is today's tea!

Cliff paths have the most excellent views and hidden treasures.

En route to Bouley Bay.

We finally put our feet in the sea!

There just aren't words! Amazing!
All but one farm's milk on Jersey comes to this dairy facility for processing. Next door is the RJAHS (Royal Jersey Agriculture & Horticulture Society) we were able to visit!!

A superb building with great exhibits and wonderful people at the RJAHS.

We even got to see the 2nd Herd Book! Awesome!

The very northwest corner of Jersey! We were able to explore around the island with a car! Thank you to our host!!!

So windy!!

The blustery weather made the sea look so strong and magnificent.

Hold on!

Amazing waves crashing onto the rocks!

Jersey girls enjoying the sun along the western coast!

5-mile Beach!

From the northwest to the southwest! This lighthouse is the SW tip of Jersey!

A huge coin hoard found in a field now on exhibit at the La Hougue Bie Museum.

A Neolithic tomb with a chapel on top. Awesome history here! One of the oldest and best preserved in Europe!

An old well!

View from on top of the mound by the chapel.

Live like a Neolithic family!

Julie hard at work!

Breakfast at the airport before departing and heading north again to Devon.

From the plane! So clear and amazing! Below us is Guernsey!

So beautiful! Amazing and wonderful people! Jersey is an island for everyone! We will return!
