Cream Teas!

Who can resist a big pot of delicious English tea, two large scones and an oversized bowl of clotted cream? I know I can't!

Julie and I have enjoyed two amazing afternoon cream teas and have thoroughly loved them!

Clotted cream is a staple when it comes to enjoying a traditional scone and the bigger the serving, the better! Also, strawberry jam, currant jam and honey can be enjoyed under or over the cream. Depending on where you're from will determine how you stack your scone!

We had the best of times sipping our tea and devouring the scrumptious scones with clotted cream. We nearly licked out the bowl of cream once our scones had been eaten and all that was left to use was our spoons!

Cream teas are a must in Devon or Cornwall and Julie and I can honestly say it's one of the best experiences to enjoy in England!

Tea time!

A most beautiful spread! Hot scones and all!

Do you put your cream on top?

Or do you spread your cream on the bottom?

Julie: "Really? Do you have to take a photo when I'm eating?"
Dana: "Yes!"

Warm scone, black currant jam, a huge dollop of clotted cream...Yum!

We really cleaned everything up!

The last bit of clotted cream.

We cleaned out the entire bowl of cream, just short of using our fingers!

A beautiful outdoor Cornish cream tea! A superb day!

Great tea, wonderful garden view and a super afternoon cream tea with scones again!
We think everyone should take a trip to England, especially to Devon and Cornwall.  Stopping and enjoying an afternoon cream tea is a priority and must for anyone travelling here!
